Available Jobs

Job Duties And Responsibilities:

  • 35–40hrs/week Monday through Friday
  • Service from Asheville, NC to Spartanburg, SC (mainly Spartanburg Area).
  • Deliver, pick up, clean, and maintain all dumpsters, porta-potties, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with Ross Waste and DOT requirements.
  • Prepare for each service job to maximize efficiency (get the truck ready, tools, etc.) by following daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance (check fluids, tires, and supplies).
  • Perform customer service interaction when needed on the job site to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury, or accident.
  • Perform daily pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Load and unload the vehicle.
  • Follow all protocols and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Assists with a variety of manual labor and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Physical stamina to work in all weather conditions.
  • Provide timely and kind customer service to all customers.
  • Communicate with the office about any issues and or needs.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • CDL Preferred
  • Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps, and road signs.
  • Ability to speak, cooperate, and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Attention to detail and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
